2020 Annual Redding Cultural Cruise

The annual Redding Cultural Cruise takes off on Friday, January 31. As in previous years, participants will be able to view fabulous fine art, see historical artifacts, hear great music by local performers and get a sampling of the North State culture and arts.
The evening begins and 4pm and continues through 8pm. Participating venues are the Redding City Hall, Turtle Bay Exploration Park & The Mosaic Restaurant gallery, Shasta Historical Society, Shasta Arts Council – Old City Hall, Shasta State Historic Park, Behrens-Eaton House Museum, North Valley Art League, California Street Labs hosting Enterprise High School.
While you can travel to all the Cruise stops yourself, with free admission at all venues, the Shasta Arts Council is also offering a chance to Cruise Redding Culture and Arts on board of one of two available Cruise Buses. One Cruise Bus features fewer stops with more time to admire the fine arts exhibitions, while the other will offer shorter stops but visit more of the participating venues. Tickets are $25 per person and include complimentary wine on the bus (for patrons 21+). Ticket packages also available!

Don’t forget to grab your Cruise Map – coming soon to download and print from www.shastaartscouncil.org or pick up at any participating location on the day of the Cruise! Collect stamps on your map from each venue you visit, then make sure to put your contact information in the designated spot on the map and leave it at the last stop of your Cruise to enter for a chance to win fantastic prizes prepared by the Cruise venues!
The Friends of Shasta County Libraries Used Book Sale

North State Symphony Masterworks #3 "Pulling Out the Stops"

Inspired by Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, Saint-Saens created his resoundingly beautiful "Organ Symphony" on the grandest of scales. Young Artist Audition winner Oliver Moore will take us on a tour of the lush Romantic themes in Liszt's First Piano Concerto. Youth orchestras from both Chico and Redding will join the symphony for Arturo Marquez' rhythmically thrilling Danzon No. 2. Pre concert talk one hour prior to performance. Scott Seaton conducts.
