POINT INCIDENT: started this morning at Gas Point Road and Libby Lane. Spread quickly to 150 acres. At last report, 225 acres and 30% containment. Evacuations still in place a a precautionary measure. Cause under investigation.
DERSCH FIRE: broke out this afternoon, burning at last report 50 acres. Some mandatory evacuations in place, in Millville off Dersch, Ash Creek Road and Parkview, and south along Ash Creek Road. Heavy wind is pushing the fire south and it has jumped Dersch Road.
BAILEY FIRE (SHINGLETOWN):There is a new fire in shingletown, the bailey fire. While crews head toward it, the fire is being fought from the air by at least three tankers. It is said to be sheltered temporarily from the wind, and is listed at 2 to 3 acres. All tankers fom the Dersch fire have been redirected to the Bailey fire, which has created two spot fires, one put out by locals, the other being addressed by fire personnel.
